The industry is without a strong, affordable, reliable hardware host for VST instruments as a whole, but this hole could be easily filled if IK Multimedia were to introduce a hardware sampler that could 1.) Load the entire SampleTank library ( based on purchased content or level of computer based SampleTank, 2.) easily load .wav or .mp3 content via USB connection, 3.) store its content on an array of SD Cards ( perhaps 4 slots externally accessible, capable of 128 GB Micro SD assimilation) 4.) Interface with the already existing software SampleTank, which would act as editor / librarian for its hardware counterpart. This seems like a no-brainer to me. Perhaps with strong enough user support, this concept might come to reality ?
