Possible saving custom instruments issue ST4.05

Postby Promidi » Fri Jul 05, 2019 11:24 am

hi guys

I have just updated to Sampletank 4.05 and I have noticed that whenever I modify a patch and then save as, I end up with an file that Sampletank 4.05 deems as corrupt.

I have tried it with several instruments and I get the same result

I was able to do this correctly with Sampletank 4.04. I am going to revert to 4.04 to see if this is an issue with 4.05 or whether there is something else is going on.

I am wondering if someone with Sampletank 4.05 can reproduce this issue before I lodge a support ticket.

Just to follow up.

I temporarily reverted to ST4.04. I edited a patch (Specifically "4001 Bass Finger Bridge" in increase the release time slightly) and saved as. I closed ST and then reopened it and I was able to load my modified version correctly.

I reinstalled ST4.05, performed the same edits and saved as. However, as before with 4.05, I got the following:

Instrument error: tank at path ""S:\Sampletank3\Samples\03 Bass\4001 Bass Finger Bridge\4001 Bass Finger Bridge.pak" in corrupted.

I have confirmed that This *.pak file does indeed exist in this location and the unmodified version of this patch does load correctly.

It should be noted that patches modified in ST4.04 can open in ST4.05. Just not patches saved with ST4.05 itself

I have a feeling something has broken in the instrument save routines in ST4.05
