My samples sound horrible when I import them into SampleTank

I have some audio samples that I want to import into an instrument in SampleTank, but when I try to play the samples I imported by pressing a key in the virtual keyboard, they sound completely distorted, is there a way to fix this?

As this is primarily a user to user forum, someone-else may chime in. I'll guress that it has something to do with the samples being repitched.

I had the same issue with distorted sounding samples. I realized that I was importing 32 bit files. I converted them to 24 bit and they sound perfectly clear. Hope this helps.
