Miroslav Philharmonik 2 installation query

Hello everyone,

Just some quick questions as I plan on purchasing the Miroslav Philharmonik 2 software.

1. Does the install give you the option of placing the large 50 gb library to another drive?
2. Is there still a lot of issues with the downloading of all the parts and then subsequently installing (quite a few issues seen in forums from what i have read) ?

Any feedback would be helpful to prepare and what to look for

Yes, just hit the browse button and chose your directory-drive during installation. The sound libraries are big and i got the download version. This is too labor intensive. anyhoo, you can also load everything to the default locations (if you have the disk space) and make sure everything is hunky dory. After that you can copy the sounds to another directory with the ability to undo changes if it goes haywire.

Oh, make sure you run the MP2_sound_Updater_Part_* file first.

When you state make sure you run the MP2_sound_Updater_Part_* file first, does this have to be run for every one of the 16 zip files downloaded?

You should run the sounds updater after you've installed all of the libraries, not before. It is an updater for those libraries, which is why it is to be run last.

Just to clarify something @PeterIK, the note in the user area states "Sound library update for all the installations made prior to September 20 2016" Is this incorrect and the update should be run for ANY install?

Sorry about that, I was in the ST3 mindset. For the updater that mentions the above date, you do not have to run that if you downloaded the installers after that September 20 2016 date. Sorry for that confusion.

So in otherwords I don’t need to use any updater during the install if purchasing this week.

This didn't work for me. I spent hours getting these sounds to work. Finally I installed all of the updater files and then the files loaded. Maybe it was a fluke.

BTW. I'm not doubting Peter. He's the expert. Try his way. I'm just saying that I downloaded and installed all sound files but ST3 wouldn't load the files. It kept getting load errors. When I installed the 5 update files it loaded.
