Cannot authorize Syntronik 2 Max

Thanks in advance for any help.

I have just upgraded to Total Studio 4 Max.

In the Product Manager it says that Syntronik2 Max is authorized, but when I run either the standalone app or the plugin, it says it is not authorized and directs me back to the Product Manager.

I have tried unauthorizing and then authorizing again, to no avail.

I have created a support ticket, but have had no answer.

Also, does anyone know how to find the support ticket number?

Any help would be most welcome.

I have had a reply from the support team for a fix to my Syntronik 2 Max problem.

Unfortunately it did not work for me, but I will post it here in case it works for anyone else;
- Open a finder window and navigate to: Macintosh HD/Users//Library/Preferences/com.ikmultimedia.Syntronik 2.plist
(This is the hidden directory. You can access this by opening the GO tab at the top and holding alt/option, to reveal "Library").

- Select the plist file and right-click and select "Get Info"
- A window will appear. At the bottom of this window go to "Sharing & Permissions".
- Click on the lock icon to allow changes
- Change privileges for "everyone" from "read" to "read & write"
- Now open Product Manager, follow the steps and insert your Syntronik 2 serial number.
- Open Syntronik 2 and it will now be authorized.


On my Mac Mini the plist file is not in the Users directory, it is in the Library directory.

If you are on a Mac, then the instructions I posted earlier in the thread may work for you.

The reason they didn’t work for me at first was because I was unfamiliar with how to access hidden files on a Mac.

Once I found the hidden .plist file and changed permissions, it worked.
