B-3X ipad -- unable to use 2 midi controllers

Postby lagouyn » Mon Jul 15, 2024 8:20 pm

Hello.

I'm unable to get B-3X for iPad to see/use both of my MIDI controller keyboards.

I'm using the following:
- the latest B-3X on my iPad Pro
- 2 Nektar Impact GX61 MIDI controllers (these only have USB out)
- Anker 9IN1 USB-C Hub (model is NXPGKEA)

The Anker is plugged into my iPad.
The Anker's PD power port is connected to sufficient power.
The two Nektar keyboards are connected to two of the Anker's USB-A ports.

One of the Nektars is set to MIDI channel 1, the other to MIDI channel 2.

The MIDI Scope app on the iPad sees both keyboards ... one on channel 1 and the other on channel 2, as expected.

In B-3X, I've set "MIDI INPUT" to "ANY".

Results:
- My keyboard on channel 1 successfully plays B-3X's upper manual.
- My keyboard on channel 2 DOES NOT appear to be recognized by B-3x.

When I try OTHER organ apps on my iPad (like "Galileo 2" and "VB3-II"), the two keyboards are able to control those two apps' upper and lower manuals.

I have tried so many combinations of B-3X settings, un-plugging and re-plugging in different orders, factory resetting the Nektars, un-/re-installing B-3X.

I am totally stumped. Any ideas?
