SampleTank and Synology NAS

Is anyone using a remote Synology NAS to store all the sounds for the SampleTank?

I have a studio and a home studio and I want to be able to access the sounds remotely without carrying an external hard drive with me.

Do you mean you want to leave the NAS in one location and then stream the samples live into another remote location. Over the internet or over a LAN?

Yes exactly. Over LAN while I'm in my studio and over the internet when I'm at home.

Hmm, well I guess it's possible speed-wise to run it over a wired LAN. Just the same as something like Dante really. As long as the system treats the NAS as an attached drive so ST4 can address the sample content then it might work.

I think over the internet might be a whole different game though because of streaming speed.

I would probably suggest contacting official IK Support to see if they have any pointers, but I think it might be down to trying it and seeing if it works.
