Which keyboard for ST4 et al?

Split from: IK's 25th Anniversary Group Buy! Up to 25 for the price of 1 for clarity and focus]

Ok guys.. looks like I'm going to have to learn the keyboard. I'm a guitarist, which keyboard is recommended here to use with all the free Sampletank product I got? I'm really loving what I am hearing from Spaceport 77. I'll be using it for Modo Drum and Bass too.

It all depends ;)

I use a Nektar 61-key keyboard and a Korg PadKontrol (for triggering drums).

Thanks Darkstar.. not a bad price at all. Dumb question but I can use the keyboard to trigger drums and loops too correct?

What are the thoughts on the IK keyboards that are qualifying for the group buy in right now?

In ST4, the drum hits and loops are triggered by MIDi Notes, so, yes, a MIDI keyboard will do that. Some people prefer a drum pad controller https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/irigpads/?pkey=irig-pads for the feel and feedback.

I have not used the iRig keys so cannot comment. Maybe other users will. Some of them do that drum pads built in too. https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/irigkeysio/index.php?p=info

Impact GX61

Edit: i have a separate MIDI controller (Akai MIDImix) for automating / controlling the software, so I do not need knobs and sliders on my keyboard.

Thank you! I don't think I want to buy in again at $299 and that is the only IK keyboard that seems to compete with the GX61 in IKs range.
