Hello! So I have a problem with the latest version of Tonex on my PC. I often use the standalone app just for noodling around, this worked perfectly fine before the 2.0 update. Now everytime I start the app it forces the PC to change the sampling rate (my system is set to 44.1 khz but Tonex changes this to 48 khz) and I can’t change it back, neither in Tonex or in the system settings of my audio interface (UAD Apollo USB). This is really annoying and wasn’t a problem before the update. As far as I can tell it only affects the standalone app, it works when used as a plugin in my DAW. Am I missing somehting or is this a “bug”.

Best regards

Andreas

Hi!
Just tested the behaviour here (Win 11, latest Tonex standalone version):

- Tonex standalone in fact defaults to 48k at startup, regardless of system settings
- However I can freely change to different sample rates at my Scarlett 2i2 4th gen control panel and they work as expected (44, 96, 192)

I have noticed the same problem wich is funny because this promotes aliasing since captures are in 44.1 khz as are the harware versions. It is a problem.

Hi! Thanks for your answers. Yeah, it’s a problem. And unfortunatelty in UAD’s settings I can’t change sample rate, it’s greyed out when Tonex is active…

Have you reported this to IK Support? They may be able to help and figure out why the sample rate can’t be changed on your interface (or perhaps UAD has documentation of this type of behavior and how to resolve it?).

Thanks, I’ve contacted IK support. Let’s see what they have to say.
