# Tonex Board - Add Mute/Thru controls for bypassed Blocks

**Summary: Add controls for 3 different “Bypass Modes” = “Thru” “Mute Input” “Mute Output”**

**Problem / Use Case:**  
For EX: When using a split and then having a tone model/ FX Block on each split, you could use this as a A/B channel between two tone models/FX Blocks. As is, the bypassed side still sends signal pass the block. The DI signal from the bypassed tone model/FX Block is still present at the Mixer. You can adjust the levels in the Mixer which would work, but having the 3 options for bypass would help for more interesting and easier signal routing. Another option would be to have “Mute” and “Thru” or “ON/Off” options on the individual A and B sides of the SPLITTER and MIXER Blocks.

**Proposed Solution:**  
Add control for “Bypassed Mode”. Ideally, it would have a choice between “Thru” as it is now, and “Mute Input” and “Mute Output” of the Block.
