# Organizing SampleTank 4 MAX Folders. Proper File Structure

I’m hoping someone can point me to the proper folder structure for my SampleTank 4 MAX install.

I had it working but something is not right. When I select a sound bank I get other options to select that shouldn’t be there. I’m sure I have everything downloaded but it seems a lot of files are not where they need to be. I tried using the installers and the automatic install from the download center but somehow everything is a mess.

I tried Google and everything I found on the topic is either a link to a product page or 404 error. Also, I tried messaging Customer Service over a week ago and no helpful reply yet. Only a message telling me that all platforms will be down for 24-48 hours. That’s fine but my problem has nothing to do with that.

So, is there anyone that has the complete top to bottom file structure that they could post? Or, a link to a page that actually exists?

I remember this happening a few years ago when I first bought SampleTank 4 and either someone posted it here or CS gave it to me. I’m not sure which since it has been so long ago.

Go to [FAQ](https://ikmultimedia.com/pages/faq?product=sampletank-4#st4) and look for “I can’t find or load my Virtual Instrument’s sound content library, what can I do?” then select ST4.

NB: the screenshots are not currently available (here?)
