# Make all fx banks interchangeable, OD/distortion/boost bank up front of amp

Tonex Pedal/Plug

**Summary:**

Make pedal banks open to all currently included fx, say the mod bank can turn into delay instead, or 2nd noise gate, etc.

**Problem / Use Case:**

I like to use a second eq for boost or to further dial in a tone. If the effects banks could be interchangeable like they are on Boss GT range of processors, I could technically program two choruses, delays.

My biggest gripe of The Tonex eco system is that there are no overdrives to put in front. TBH I could use that much more than I have use for the compressor option.

**Proposed Solution:**  
Perhaps one simple dialable boost could go in there and be compressor/boost option, the boost could have “gain” “tone” and “volume” knobs to match the 3 that are there now on the compressor or perhaps could be added to the compressor with a few extra knobs as there is boost in there. Disable checkmark on the compressor panel and just one extra gain/boost button.

A boost block was the most requested feature in the old forum. It would be a great addition to the software, and an exceptional addition to the hardware.
