i’d like to know if the align function is neede with the studio emultion only or even with the normal calibration? very thnks
That control aligns the phase with the target curve and can be useful in all situations but you need to weigh the sonic results you get with the additional latency incurred by the phase alignment to choose whether it is right for you and the situation for which you are using your headphones.
very thnks,so aligned is preferred for example for mastering whereas without it for tracking?
That’s a good way to think about it, yes. I was going to use the example of playing guitar with something like TONEX Pedal and that’s essentially the same use case as tracking. Then for really critical listening like mixing or mastering activating the phase align could be really helpful.
