# All messed up, can't scan content that is already on my drive

I have tried everything, did dozens of library scans, added all possible paths, but SampleTank still won’t list lots of items. So i can’t work on my music, dozens of projects.
What is relevant, anyway? I can’t find any clear instructions. Is it the “instruments” folder? Ist it the “samples” folder? I have tried addin any of them as library paths, but clicking the icon at the left gives me an empty list?
So, what went wrong here? I need back my sound ASAP, please! Reloading all 240 GB would take days, and who knows, if my projects would still work afterwards.
The sounds of Sampletank, once it works, are great. But installing and having the sample database to work is a nightmare.
Maybe it all started with updating the main program. Two days ago all still did work, except a few sample categories not being found for an unknown reason.
Is there a quick fix for this? It feel just wrong to start re-downloading all, even though i have hundreds of Gigabyte sitting here on my harddisk, not being accessible for some annoying reason.

That looks very interesting, i will have a look. What i found out meanwhile, that re-installing the packages solves the problem. But then again, i believe, that i will have double packages, using up a lot of space. I hope, that deleting those won’t do any harm to the database.
What i also have noticed, that in my older installation there are separate locations for the ZIPs, instruments and samples, while in my recent re-installs all three are kept in a single folder.
Not sure, why that is. Maybe the newer update of the main program handles the database differently. Anyway, i will continue re-installing, and then move the double packages somwhere else, to see, if that breaks things. If not, i can free up the space then.
